Web Developer/Designer – IMMEDIATE START - £18000pa
We need a web developer/designer who possesses great technical skills and an eye for great design to join our small but productive team!
You will need to be naturally creative and commercially aware. As an individual you'll be a natural team player who possesses a high level of attention to detail.
The successful candidate must possess solid experience in using HTML /CSS to create pixel-perfect cross-browser-compatible websites.
You will also be involved in:
- The design and creation of online advertising such as website offer images, banners, skyscrapers, and MPU's.
- Design and development of html e-newsletters and e-mail templates.
- E-commerce
- Building and maintaining PHP based content management systems.
- You'll be innovative and never afraid to suggest new or improved ways of working and have a sound knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM).
- In addition to the above core role, we would like our new starter to be aware of the industry that they work in. Show an interest in advances in online design and development, and understand the basics of integration of social media with online advertising and website design.
Responsibilities of the job:
- Day to day maintenance and website design
- Development of online advertising creative (offer images, banners, skyscrapers, MPU's)
- Design and development of e-newsletter templates
- Working to deadline in an organised manner
Key technical skills in the role would include:
- HTML
- CSS
- PHP
- MySQL
- jQuery
- JavaScript
You need to be familiar with the following programs from the Adobe Creative suite:
- Dreamweaver
- Photoshop
- Fireworks
- Illustrator
- Flash

We have an unpaid Internship available to add valuable experience to the CV of one determined and enthusiastic individual.
You will be working alongside the team across areas such as media-planning and buying, design briefing, and will gain experience of sitting in client meetings, briefing the design team, liaising with media owners and planning effective advertising campaigns. During the internship you will have the opportunity to undertake your own project which will demonstrate your research skills, strategic thinking, and ability to communicate effectively with business decision makers at all levels.
